Clinical Studies Department
The Clinical Studies Department has operated within the "Dr. Victor Babes" Foundation since its establishment in 1999. On its tenth anniversary in 2009, the "Dr. Victor Babes" Diagnostic and Treatment Centre announced that it was the first private clinic to operate a Department of Medical Research and International Cooperation.
During this period, 39 clinical studies were conducted within the department. The list of clinical trials can be found HERE.

The department is located in a private clinical practice equipped with the latest medical technologies. The clinic also offers most medical specialities, making collaboration between them easily accessible.

- 1. CF102-212LD: A Phase 2B Randomised, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study of the Efficacy and Safety of Namodenoson in the Treatment of Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH). 2024 – ongoing

- 3. Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Astegolimab in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. 2022- ongoing
The site is selected, and the initiation visits are to be conducted for the following studies:
- 1. A Phase 2b Randomised, Open-Label Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Tobevibart+Elebsiran Combination Therapy versus Bulevirtide in Participants with Chronic HDV Infection (ECLIPSE 3).
- 2. A Phase 3 Randomised, Open-Label Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Tobevibart+Elebsiran Combination Therapy in Participants with Chronic HDV Infection Not Virologically Suppressed with Bulevirtide (ECLIPSE 2).
- 3. A Phase 2b, randomized, parallel-group, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Verekitug (UPB-101) in participants with moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (UPB-CP-06).
- 4. Randomised interventional clinical trial comparing the medical device (PED) to a placebo for treating atopic dermatitis.
